Delightfully awful This film along with THE SWARM the year before killed the disaster genre for at least 20 years. First of all, where have you ever seen such a variety among the cast? There is some real talent here, Cicely Tison, Bibi Anderssen, Mercedes McCambridge right along TV hacks Robert Wagner and Susan Blakely. We even get a bona fide international star, Alain Delon. Wasn't Sylvia Kristel in porn? I told you this film had everything, even Charo! To punch up the action beyond its three predecessors, the plane is attacked more times than any aircraft can endure. The dialog is as stupid as the subplots. The acting awful, especially from Wagner and Blakely. They had no place out of bad 1970s TV. George Kennedy discusses sex incessantly and considering the source, its downright revolting. Martha Raye has a bladder condition. Susan Blakely has a Farrah hairdo. Both are key to the "plot." They finally gave up and realized they had a turkey and re released it as a comedy.
Supersonic Story Have You ever traversed the Atlantic in the supersonic Concorde? If you have not...then this movie is for YOU!! Only a very tiny minority of the world's population has ever booked a flight on the Concorde. Currently, there are no supersonic airliners like the Concorde, although aerospace companies are working to bring back supersonic travel. Meantime, you can gain a firsthand look at faster-than-sound transportation by immersing yourself in this thrilling movie. Avoid being disheartened by the negative reviews.....OK? Though films revolving around flying aircraft abound and are too numerous to list here, there are only a handful of truly exhilarating supersonic-flight movies. Airport 79...The Concorde is one of them. Two of them are quite rare but truly worth a watch: "Starflight- The Plane That Couldn-t Land -TV Movie 1983", and "Exploding Sun -TV Movie 2013". I was lucky enough to watch "Starflight 1983", back in the 80s on the big screen of a local cinema. Each of these three "supersonic stories" was unforgettable, and gave me a really good time! During the story, you will have been given a detailed tour of the Concorde: externally and internally: cockpit, passenger area and cargo bay. Even the Concorde's performance is very much in evidence, for actually the Concorde was the only passenger aircraft of its time to be able to come close to matching the performance of many military jet fighters. Indeed, this movie could be considered a worthy tribute and memorial to the world's first ever supersonic airliner!
Milestone film from John Ford...One of his earliest talkies as well as the film debuts of Spencer Tracy and Humphrey Bogart..get a copy just for that !
This is a classic and perculuiar Aussie story, it is a shame that all the leading stars were imports rather than some local talents. And, to add insult to injury changing the name of the movie to suit the USA audience is a fundamentally disgusting
The downloads for the 70's Boney TV series are as described, not great quality but perfectly adequate given they are so old. So thanks for that. It is good to know there is an archive of old series.
I had to go back and ask for some to be redelivered, as some were duplicates and some were missing. But eventually I got the set.
Absolutely perfect. Got to the U.S. quicker than I expected, in perfect condition, and exactly what I hoped for.

Unlike the post, no long delay and no increased expensive postal charges. Perfect quality every time, and I've bought several. Also excellent communication with the site owner/s. A brilliant site indeed.
