Storyline


The Other Side Of Midnight, During WWII, beautiful Noelle meets dashing American pilot Larry in France and falls in love. She expects him to marry her, but instead he abandons her and meets successful Catherine in the United States and they marry. But Noelle hasn’t forgotten him even as she’s become a successful actress. She maneuvers to have Larry hired as the private pilot of her wealthy and powerful lover Constantin so she can seek revenge on him, but instead they rekindle their passion. Desperate to be together, they make deadly plans. But soon the lovers face a terrible fate determined by the jealous Constantin using Catherine as his pawn.

I expected just another love story “chick” movie and was pleasantly surprised that it delivered the thrills.

 

The Other Side Of Midnight, I saw this movie upon the persistent recommendations of my lady co-employees thinking and hoping that there may be sense after all in their insistence. But of course, knowing them I expected this to be another chick movie, a maudlin love story.

To my surprise, it had a lot of suspense and I also appreciated the fact that it captured the ambience of the European countries that served as locales.

It did well in the Philippines. I saw it with a standing room crowd and it took me a while to grab a seat. But I doubt if it was well received in the US.
