The transfer copy job is excellent based on the source copy now not really available. No real compression artefacts which is helped by the film being in B&W and a running length under 90 minutes
So any compression just to have the movie fit on the disc is extremely minor.
As to the film, it's a solid little western. Joel McCrea is one of those actors who look as if they give nothing to their performance but in fact give much (not unlike Gary Cooper and Clint Eastwood early in their careers). He certainly adds gravitas and the support players don't lack for anything in their performance.
Not a John Ford or Raoul Walsh by any degree but good solid matinee entertainment to while away those late afternoons.
Good seller to deal with, I enjoy the movie Many thanks
Hi delivery was great and well wrapped so dvd was safe..
I’ve just finished watching the film and thank you for good quality dvd
Hello! The problem was the audio. you were kind enough to try sending it again, but it was very low quality and no subtitles, thus the 1-star review. When I said that the quality was too low to really watch the film, I requested a refund. I got no further response and that's where the communication stopped. That's the disappointing truth.
Thanks, Chehalis Hegner
Wonderful to find such a favorite film and it even played on my DVD player.
I enjoyed it as though seeing for the first time. Wonderful playback, clear and audible. Well done and thank you so much!

Glitchy and blurry. Would like a refund. Do not buy from this company
Great quality fast shipping would buy again
Great Western, nice twist at the end ,didn't expect that to happen, plenty of action & tension
As always, a good quality movie. This time I made no mistakes and all the movies came in in one go. This is probably the first one I will enjoy on the flight over to Canada. (and a few times while living in Canada
Movie skips and freezes up. Not good quality at all
a movie you’ll never forget
The Boys Of St Vincent This movie is disturbing and hard to watch sometimes, but I suggest every parent who get the chance to see this movie to do it. Who are these sick people anyway? How can anyone do something like this to a little boy? That boy being thrown into the wall, whipped with a belt buckle and carried up the dark stairs is an image I will never forget. The kids give great performances, especially little Morina. Then you have Czerny as the head priest. Talk about perfect casting. A great performance. Will give you chills. If I didn’t know any better, I’d say he was a child-molester, playing one so well. WATCH IT.
