Beyond the Purple Hills, In a typical western (movie) town (possibly described as ‘hick’ by someone who possibly hasn’t seen the film) Gene Autry and his friend Jack Beaumont are present when the bank is robbed and Sheriff Whiteside is killed. Judge Beaumont, Jack’s father, appoints Gene the new sheriff. When Jack learns that his father is making a new will in his disfavor, they quarrel and Jack leaves under suspicious circumstances. Rocky Morgan who has been swindling the judge murders him and Gene has to jail his friend, who thinks Gene is double crossing him. But Gene has a plan to clear Jack.

Younger brother (Don Reynolds) and villain James Millican, play their parts well as turncoats against Sheriff Gene. Kermit Maynard, Sandy Sanders and the stunt crew were extraordinary. Then there's the most beloved man in television history, Pat Buttram as Autry's sidekick with the outstanding comic relief.

A good DVD but episodes out of order.

A good DVD, but the episodes were misnumbered and out of order. Not a problem once the viewer realises and watches episodes in correct order.

Battletruck dvd

I received my dvd of the movie Battletruck a couple of weeks ago but I've been away so couldn't watch it until last night.
Great old classic that brought back a few memories.
I purchased it at a great price and it arrived in good condition and in good time.
I would have no hesitation in recommending these guys to anyone who is looking for a hard to find classic movie.
