TV movie of the Enola Gay and crew. I watched it back 1980. The DVD version was good for a DVD of that vintage.

Acceptable quality for the time. Enjoyed the show. It would be good if there was a contents on the cover of each series as the episodes are not in order on the discs.

The dvd's arrived in decent time. I was so excited to get them but when I went to play them they didn't work on my dvd player. I am looking into buying another dvd player in the hopes that they'll work. I was really disappointed.
I love this movie my mum got his movie on VHS so I wanted to get it on DVD

You have a wide range of interesting DVDs that I have been looking for and failed to find anywhere else
The movie was just as I remembered it. The only issue was with the first cd which would go blank every once in awhile though each time it was only for a couple of seconds so it didn't bother me that much. The second cd had no issues.
The transfer copy job is excellent based on the source copy now not really available. No real compression artefacts which is helped by the film being in B&W and a running length under 90 minutes
So any compression just to have the movie fit on the disc is extremely minor.
As to the film, it's a solid little western. Joel McCrea is one of those actors who look as if they give nothing to their performance but in fact give much (not unlike Gary Cooper and Clint Eastwood early in their careers). He certainly adds gravitas and the support players don't lack for anything in their performance.
Not a John Ford or Raoul Walsh by any degree but good solid matinee entertainment to while away those late afternoons.

Hello! The problem was the audio. you were kind enough to try sending it again, but it was very low quality and no subtitles, thus the 1-star review. When I said that the quality was too low to really watch the film, I requested a refund. I got no further response and that's where the communication stopped. That's the disappointing truth.

Great movie and good cast.
The Slipper and The Rose is a beautiful version of the Cinderella story with picturesque scenery, excellent design and costume and lots of 70’s soft-focus romantic-type shooting.
This isn’t a run-of-the-mill Cinderella story. You actually get some depth of character motivation. The characters are generally extremely believable – the “wicked” stepmother not being hideous enough for one to question why anyone would marry her and the “ugly” sisters, both slim and quite pretty, but instead ugly from the inside.
This film is brilliantly cast with some of the finest British actors/comedy actors of all time (Kenneth More, Annette Crosbie to name two!). Richard Chamberlain acts, dances, sings! Gemma Craven is radiant. She has a beautiful voice and does a great job with a very passive character. Let’s face it, in the traditional story of Cinderella (as this is), she doesn’t really make any decisions except that she might quite like to go to the ball.
It’s just great to see people cast on ability, not solely looks/cleavage/plastic surgery, (although I suppose the features all fit a certain time-period of what was considered beautiful.)
The script is very witty and intelligent and I love the songs.. Fantastic music. Lyrics aren’t dumbed down at all! Words of more than one syllable. What other musical has a song with the title “Protocoligorically Correct” in it? None, I should imagine!
Incidentally, I believe Sherman & Sherman who did the songs/music also did Mary Poppins (i.e. supercalifragilisticexpialadocious). Perhaps they just like long words.
This is believable escapism, and apart from the odd haircut here and there and occasional choreography, doesn’t really date.
I love it. It’s magical. A great family film
