A great piece of British history But as for acting you have Richard Harris! and Alec Guinness! In the same movie! , Come on it doesn't get better than this , if you want a masterclass in superior acting then it's worth watching And learning Even if your not Keen on the film..

A Truly Great Movie
Good example of what film is capable of, but all to often fails to deliver. This movie is educational, and at least as factual as any history ever is.
All history is biased substantially, and those who disagree with the bias of this movie, only have the advancement of bias of their own in mind.
Cromwell was a great man who was pivotal in the history of the world, and the movie does him deserved credit. Without his victory in this Civil War America and the Constitution might never have happened.
It is hard to imagine anyone doing any better job of depicting this history in film.
Most often it is a just a few Catholics who can't let go of the past, who are offended by his militant and strident defense of Protestantism along with his decision to provide sanctuary in England for Jews fleeing persecution and genocide at the hands of Catholics in Spain.

The clarity of the DVD is regrettable and the sound is muddied, so that subtitles are needed.
But there are no subtitle options.

After waiting 14 days I decided to enquire by email when my DVD would arrive

After waiting 14 days I decided to enquire by email when my DVD would arrive. I received an email back stating I had purchased it via download and had been sent an and had been sent a link, so I checked my emails lo and behold there was one there with a link in it but the link didn’t work, even though the invoice states when I made payment and ordered the movie it was fora DVD. So here we are still waiting for my DVD. I have received no communication back since the inquiry other than I made the mistake. Then I received an email to give a review while I can tell you what it’s not Sterling. I do not recommend buying any movie from this online store.
