Sheer entertainment
It's not Shakespeare but it's very good tv. The writers add on incident after incident and never keep anything still, which is what action tv should be about. They take one incident and ramp it up. I loved it. And I cared about characters as well. The acting is fine, I believed what they were doing. Happy ending too. What more could anyone want? I'm now supposed to add another 253 characters but I've said all that's necessary so that's really irritating and a bit of IMDB bureaucracy where I don't want it and now I think I'm done. No the office people want another 65 characters. Proof positive they don't really have any idea...

any movie with Gina Gershon as head of FEMA has to be seen
what can i say? The Mt. Rushmore scene was the most accurate animation model ever used in film because i and my colleague Xueming Xu built it and CBS used it for that scene (listed as technical advisors). No one would realize it because monument visitors would never be able to see the monument so up close and see the geology in such detail (the original reason for the model to be built with lasers and cameras). Those who had seen our model recognized it from the detail seen in the geology. So cool a job CBS did. The old North by Northwest Cary Grant movie had them climbing around the head of Washington saw smooth marble looking surface--not the rough granite it really is as seen in this movie.
Now the movie, i do not usually like disaster movies but Gershon was great (FEMA head shooting it out with terrorists--take that Brownie!--great)and what i heck i contributed. Maybe no one will ever see this comment but I thought their special effects other than Rushmore was awesome (but i did get to see how it was done)and the overall movie fun. Jeez guys, go for the ride and see it.
