I dig a pygmy by Charles Hawtrey on the deaf aids
I had known about the Carry On series for years but only started watching it a few days ago. I started with the first one (Carry On Sergeant) and then went to this one. "Carry On Nurse" takes place in a hospital where all manner of mishaps and hi jinx take place. I have no doubt that they fun filming it, especially that whole sequence with the laughing gas.
And of course I have to talk about the cast. Shirley Eaton is best remembered as the bikini-clad babe who meets an auric demise in "Goldfinger". Charles Hawtrey got a mention in the Beatles' song "Two of Us". Jill Ireland was married to David McCallum at the time but later got married to Charles Bronson. Kenneth Connor, Kenneth Williams and a number of the other cast members were regulars in the series.
