The greatest comedy team ever takes sail!
Abbot and Costello, Without question the greatest comedy team ever, take no prisoners in this mix of Treasure Island, Captain Kidd, Mutiny on the Bounty, Kidnapped! and a few other maritime classics. Oscar-winner Charles Laughton, most of whose roles were comedic in the well-bred English way (not the music hall way!) had no qualms about working with the great Abbot and Costello in this hilarious homage to all those pictures about sailing on the high seas.
I enjoy all of A & C's movies
I am currently trying to collect all of A & C movies on DVD. I have 32 of the B & W pictures including the Colour Jack and The Beanstalk. My VHS copy of it is good, but my DVD version is really bad, its all overexsposed looking. The company that transferred it should be ashamed. I am trying to find a copy of A & C meet Captain Kid on DVD, but don't know if it exsits yet. If I'm not wrong I know MGM did 3 which I have, but who made Captain Kid and who released it. To bad they could not have all got together with Univeral when they did there volumes 1 through 4. A nice list of everything they made together or independently would be nice.Who ever made Africa Screams, how many others did they make if any.
