A Very Merry Daughter of the Bride Handsome, elegant gentleman Charlie arouses romantic interest with Roxanne when he walks into the wedding planner’s shop which she runs with her widowed mother and best friend. Jack, whom Roxanne’s ma presents as her groom after a short Paris holiday, instantly arouses mistrust and dislike. When he turns out to be Charlie’s quasi-retired father, the unwilling siblings in-law to be decide to team up and prevent the inconvenient, whimsical wedding. But both men surprise Roxanne significantly. Meanwhile she neglects her second chance with former neighbor boy Dylan, now a reputable nature photographer, whom she unfairly blamed for leaving because of her dumb attitude years ago.

Unforgettable
Saw this movie a few years ago and never forgot it. Beautiful xmas/ romance movie.
Some fresh ideas
Stop-the-wedding has been done in a couple different ways, but it is not as overused as some tropes. This take on it also has at least a couple major differences from the others I've seen, but talking about them would be spoilers. Also this isn't the usual romance story nor it is heavily into the usual Christmas tropes.
JoAnna Garcia (Swisher) as Roxanne does a good job with her role. Unfortunately I didn't like either Dylan or Charlie from the beginning. Dylan needs to learn boundaries - he was a little too stalkerish and insensitive. But Rose, the mom, wasn't too sensitive either when she came home from Paris either. Charlie was creepy and secretive.
There were some funny moments, but there were a lot of depressing moments especially for Roxanne.
Overall, the story didn't get bogged down in any one direction and I'd lean towards a thumbs up.
