Description

Storyline

Highlander : The Source, The world is falling into chaos. As he roams a crumbling city, Duncan MacLeod, the Highlander, remembers happier times before the love of his life left… Hopeless and alone, MacLeod finds his way to a band of immortal companions, including his mysterious friend Methos, and a mortal, Watcher Joe Dawson. Together this small group sets out on a quest to find the origin of the first Immortal and The Source of their immortality.

Not that bad

Highlander: The Source isn’t the best out the Highlander saga but it also isn’t the worst, it was entertaining. The film had some cool fight scenes when they got going but they’re wasn’t much Sword fighting between Immortals, there was only a few Sword fights in the whole movie. The effects looked like they was filmed by a green screen, some of the scenery didn’t look real and it was like watching those Sega CD video game cut scenes. The film was shot on a budget of 8 Million which isn’t a lot compared to some movies that are made today. Highlander: The Source is the third Highlander movie to have the Immortals in the future, the first was Highlander II: The Quickening, the second was the Anime movie Highlander: The Search for the Vengeance. Although this one is set in the future you don’t see much of how the world has changed, unlike Highlander II and Highlander: The Search for Vengeance which focused on the whole post-apocalyptic world Highlander: The Source doesn’t focus on it and you only see the destroyed city for a few scenes the rest in the wide open forests, there is a brief scene in a dock.
Highlander: The Source is okay but it may not be for everyone, if you’re a fan of Highlander like me then you might want to give it a try. Newcomers to the series might want to start with the first Highlander which is still a classic movie.
